jek-ō̇-nī´as (Ἰεχονίας, Iechonías, the King James Version; Greek form of “Jechoniah,” the Revised Version (British and American)):

(1) The altered form of Jehoiachin (Additions To Esther 11:4; Baruch 1:3, 9; Matthew 1:11, Matthew 1:12). The last but one of the kings of Judah.

(2) The son of Zeelus (1 Esdras 8:92), called “Shecaniah” in Ezra 10:2.
