(1.) The founder of one of the courses of the priests (Neh_11:10).

(2.) Neh_11:5; a descendant of Judah.

(3.) Neh_12:6.

(4.) Ezr_8:16, a “man of understanding” whom Ezra sent to “bring ministers for the house of God.”


joi´a-rib (יויריב, yōyārībh, “YHWH pleads” or “contends”; compare Jehoiarib):

(1) A “teacher” of Ezra's time (Ezr_8:16).

(2) A Judahite (Neh_11:5).

(3) In Neh_11:10; Neh_12:6, Neh_12:19 = Jehoiarib (which see).
