Zaccur

zak´ur (זכּוּר, zakkūr, perhaps “ventriloquist” (Gray, Nu, 137)) or "mindful":
(1) Father of Shammua the Reubenite spy who was one of the spies sent out by Moses(Numbers 13:4).
(2) A Simeonite (1 Chronicles 4:26); the King James Version “Zacchur.”
(3) Levites:
- (a) a Merarite (1 Chronicles 24:27);
- (b) a “son” of Asaph, and chief of one of the courses of singers as arranged by David (1 Chronicles 25:2, 1 Chronicles 25:10; Nehemiah 12:35);
- (c) Nehemiah 10:12 (Hebrew verse 13), and probably the same as in Nehemiah 13:13, father of Hanan and son of Mattaniah.
(4) A marginal reading in Ezra 8:14 for Zabbud where Kethībh is really “Zabud”. See Zabud.
(5) Son of Imri and one of the builders of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 3:2).
(6.) The son of Mattaniah and father of Hanan (Nehemiah 13:13).
